That’s why it’s critical that you plan every detail out in advance so there aren’t any unpleasant surprises on the day of your event.
Start with What You Already Have
A helpful way to plan your party is to walk through the experience you want your guests to have from start to finish. Create a list of elements and events you want to include during your event — including meals, games, prizes, play time, and anything else you can think of.
Regardless of how many guests you plan to invite, the experience of your event should be the same for everybody. So set aside 30 minutes to an hour, make a list of everything you want to happen at your party, and start from there.
What You Still Need
Next, go through your ideas and start a second list entitled, “Everything I Need”.
This should include everything from tables and chairs to silverware and cups, to food and drink, to bounce houses and entertainers. Try not to miss any detail, including every possible thing you can think of.
Then next step is the easiest: Take a pen and cross off everything you already have. What’s left is the list of everything you will need to get to make your party a success.
Rent or Buy?
It will then be up to you to decide whether the things on your “Need to Get” list should be purchased or rented. If entertain a lot or the event is one that will be repeated year after year, you may want to purchase some of these items.
If it’s a one-time event, you should consider renting. We are one of the area’s leading party rental services and have just about everything you can imagine to make your party a smashing success.
